The Mandala (Tibetan: dkyil-'khor) is a sacred circle surrounded by light rays or the place purified of all transitory or dualist ideas. It is experienced as the infinitely wide and pure sphere of conciousness in which deities spontaneously manifest themselves. Mandalas have to be seen as inward pictures of a whole (integral) world; they are creative primal symbols of cosmic evolution and involution, emerging and passing in accordance with the same laws. From this perspective, it is but a short step to conceiving of the Mandala as a creative principle in relation to the external world, the macrocosms - thus making it the centre of all existence.
Ummm.... I created this blog almost two years ago - taking inspiration from a friend who truly was a hardcore blogger. But that was a phase of my life when things were moving at a pace that left even me a bit bamboozled.

And during the course of those two years, I got married. I became a tightrope-walker, balancing personal and professional with an ease that comes as part of the package of being a Mumbaikar. Life drifted along.

Before I knew it, I had completed four years with my first employer. Four years that saw the learning curve being steep - almost 90 degrees. The company recognized me as a budding star performer, and I in turn gave my 100 percent as well.

I dunno when I felt it first. But surely the ugly demon of complacency was slowly eating me up. I was so very comfortable being settled in the regular humdrum of a 9-to-6 job, and then a time out with family. I knew I had to shake things up.

So I quit my job. And took up a more challending one at Singapore, with a rival bank.

As I settle down here in Sg, these is a sea of emotions am going through. I've never been the one to want to settle outside India in the first place. But I wanted to look at things from the perspective of an "outsider." I want to find out how people perceive India to be; to find out whether ours is a case of "world-class-in-India."

I've given myself two years for this experiment. And then I would like to go back. To where I belong. India.

I would like you to be my companion as I traverse through a myriad of thoughts over the course of the next two years. So put your seat belts on !!
